Sun rise at Sun Moon Lake could be breath-taking but could also be calming, depending on your luck. I witnessed the calming sunrise decorated with morning mist and indulged in serenity, these attracted me most.

Monster Village is a theme park based on a legendary story, about the friendship of two individuals and a dying wish. The Monster Village have lots of little monsters around; some monsters attempted to be scary while some monsters were just cuteness overload.

There are few ways to visit Sun Moon Lake (日月潭), though majority of these will require a transit via Puli (埔里) or TaiChung (台中). From Puli (埔里) bus terminal, it takes between 45 mins – 1 hour to reach Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).

This was not a sight of interest, but something I am privileged to experience, as I am travelling with my WWOOF hosts. On my off day, I tagged along with them and had some unique experience!

A massive 7.3 earthquake struck Taiwan on 21 Sep, 1999. This memorial site is located at the exact location where the earthquake struck, thus you can witness damaging effects of the earthquake from the remnants.
