Getting to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭)

There are few ways to visit Sun Moon Lake (日月潭), though majority of these will require a transit via Puli (埔里) or TaiChung (台中). From Puli (埔里) bus terminal, it takes between 45 mins – 1 hour to reach Sun Moon Lake (日月潭), which was the route I took since I’m departing from Puli.

From Puli (埔里) to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) via Bus – approx. TWD 60

From TaiChung Rail Station (台中火車站) to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭) via Bus – approx. TWD 190
The walking distance from TaiChung Rail Station (台中火車站) to TaiChung Gancheng Bus Station (台中干城站) takes around 10mins, click here to view the map. Upon arrival, you can buy your tickets to Sun Moon Lake (日月潭).
